Hey guys, I don't know if you have seen this on the news but I find it pretty amazing!
I found this cool quote on tumblr and I decided to share it here on my blog.
It's quite an old one from Aristotle but it still applies in this modern era. There's no getting away from the fact that music plays an important role in my life and I have realized early on that if I wanted to succeed in being a pianist, then I have to make practicing it a habit. So I practiced every time I had free time. I could almost say I isolated myself from the outside world, but not really. I still made sure to spend time with my friends and family. After all, they are the ones who listen to me play and give me useful tips on how to improve further. Learning any musical instrument is not a walk in the park, unless you are a prodigy or a musical genius. For most of us human beings, perfecting our musical craft takes years and years of practice. Making practice a habit is only one key to success. Mastering this habit will pay off for you eventually. I was looking for piano icons to use in one of my offline projects today and I found this really cool icon set on iconfinder: https://www.iconfinder.com/soundselectric
The icons are scalable and are very well designed and best of all they are free to use! The only condition is that the user link to the author's website. I think this practice is pretty common and to be honest, I would rather link to the website than pay a dollar or two! I know that sounds cheap but well.. free is free. hahahaha! Anyway, my concern was that since my project was offline I did not know how to credit the author so I decided to just write this blog and pay it forward by linking this post to the author's profile on iconfinder. If you have time, do check out the profile above. Thanks for reading this post. P.S. I used the simple black and white piano keys icon as a logo for my project. :-) Hey guys!
This is just a quick post to let you know I've got a lot of plans in store for this blog! I have so many things to share like what I know about Yamaha and its line of music keyboard instruments! If you know the company like I do, you would know they have like a gazillion products on the market and it can get very confusing if you do not know what to look for. I am here to help and will be offering you some insights and some wonderful tips about the kind of keyboard that is perfect for a beginner like (if you are indeed a beginner). If you are an intermediate or more advanced piano player, do stay around as well as you just might learn something new from me! :-) That's it for now guys. Thanks for reading! |
