I found this cool quote on tumblr and I decided to share it here on my blog.
It's quite an old one from Aristotle but it still applies in this modern era.
There's no getting away from the fact that music plays an important role in my life and I have realized early on that if I wanted to succeed in being a pianist, then I have to make practicing it a habit.
So I practiced every time I had free time.
I could almost say I isolated myself from the outside world, but not really. I still made sure to spend time with my friends and family.
After all, they are the ones who listen to me play and give me useful tips on how to improve further.
Learning any musical instrument is not a walk in the park, unless you are a prodigy or a musical genius.
For most of us human beings, perfecting our musical craft takes years and years of practice.
Making practice a habit is only one key to success. Mastering this habit will pay off for you eventually.
